To continue construction for this campus installation, a crane will be utilized for several days on site.

As work continues for the Pathway of Progress: Celebrating Georgia Tech Women installation, a crane will be set-up and active on site beginning Wednesday, August 28  through Friday, August 30, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, to facilitate the project’s construction.  There will be a total of 2 (two) delivery trucks that will enter and exit the barricaded, controlled-access zone daily.  Each evening, the crane will remain on site, secured and locked, with red caution tape around the crane’s swing perimeter.

For the safety of students, faculty and staff, the contractor will have the perimeter of the area barricaded with no pedestrian access. Flaggers will guide both the crane and the delivery trucks as they enter and depart the barricaded area from the parking lot.  All pedestrians will be directed to the alternate routes as show in red on the Site Layout & Logistics Plan.

Below is a diagram of the crane location and pedestrian detour.
