Golf carts were first introduced to the Georgia Tech campus in 1996 to accommodate the Summer Olympics, and their use, as well as that of street-legal Low-Speed Vehicles (LSVs), has grown since then. This policy outlines Georgia Tech's expectations for the purchase, safe operation, and usage of street-legal LSVs on the Georgia Tech campus. This regulation applies to Georgia Tech-owned LSVs, other motorized carts that are driven on Georgia Tech's campus.
New Low Speed Vehicle and Golf Cart Policy Improves Safety on Campus
The new Low-Speed Vehicle and Golf Cart Policy was approved and, as of July 1st, 2016, will affect the purchase, safe use, and operation of all LSVs and golf carts on campus.
