Tree Removal to Begin this Saturday

A 34-inch caliper Post Oak located at the transit hub on the south side of the Student Center is scheduled to be removed on Sept. 19. Tech’s Landscape Services department had an independent risk assessment and recommendation report conducted by Bartlett Tree Experts in August, and it was determined that, structurally, the tree has failed: 40 percent of its limbs are dead, and it is suffering from waterlog root decay. This tree has been deemed a high failure-high risk.

Tree Removal Begins This Week at Historic Academy of Medicine

The 82-inch caliper Eastern Cottonwood at The Historic Academy of Medicine has reached the end of its life and will be removed later this fall. Tech has been in contact with the city arborist to ensure the City of Atlanta Tree Preservation Review Board has been made aware of the required removal.
