The sidewalk North of Baker connecting Dalney and State Street will be closed 9/17 - mid October due to the installation of a stormwater drainage system.

As a continuation of the work at State Street, construction will take place to  install a storm water drainage system to better manage run-off from the slope north of the Baker Building.  This work will begin on Tuesday, September 17th and will last through October 11th (weather permitting).

To ensure safety of pedestrians, the sidewalk North of Baker connecting Dalney and State Street will be closed for the duration of the project from September 17th to October 11th.

The alternate route will be the sidewalk at 10th Street.  Also, pedestrians will not be able to travel north on the west side of State Street beyond the crosswalks due to excavation adjacent to the street.  It’s possible this northbound section of sidewalk on State Street may be able to open up after the manhole work is complete and the sidewalk restored; this condition will be monitored to restore normal foot-travel as quickly as practical.
